About Joseph
I am a Wellingtonian working in the City doing academic research with Victoria University. I have recently finished my undergraduate, majoring in architecture. Over the course of my time at University I have developed a real passion for learning. I wish I had found this passion earlier and I'm now looking to pass it on.

My lessons will likely be hands-on, project-based, and tailored to each student's needs and goals. I begin by assessing the student's current skill level and identifying areas for improvement. Usually, this will lead to a customised lesson plan based on this assessment.
During the tutoring sessions, I may use a variety of techniques to engage the student and help them develop their design skills, such as:
Sketching and modelling exercises: I lead the student through various sketching and modelling exercises to help them develop their visual communication skills and understanding of design principles.
Review of case studies and examples: I may use real-world examples of architecture and design to help the student understand how design concepts are applied in the real world.
Critique and feedback: I will provide regular critiques and feedback on the student's work, helping them to identify areas for improvement and to refine their skills.
Guided research: I will guide the student through research and exploration of different design styles, materials, and technologies, helping them to expand their knowledge and understanding.
Project-based learning: Sometimes, I may assign projects or design briefs that allow the student to apply what they have learned to real-world scenarios and help them develop their skills in a challenging and engaging way. But usually, this will be in relation to school work.
The lessons typically are one hour in length. Although I am flexible based on individual needs.
My lessons are for high school-age students from years 10 to 13.
