About Bassel

I'm an Egyptian Product Design Engineering master's student at Glasgow School of Art. Studied Manufacturing Engineering in undergrad. Been making Origami for more than 10 years and conducted more than 50 workshops within a wide range of ages and number per group.

About the lesson

My workshops can be a 1 day compact workshop for 4 hours or a 3 days workshop, 3 hrs each. We start with a small presentation about the Origami and the basics and a motivating video then we start folding simple models and moving in an ascending pattern to more intermediate level models and maybe modular Origami. Throughout folding, we pass through the three main pillars of learning Origami, Personal teaching, Videos and the most important; Diagrams.

When it comes to origami, you’ll never find someone with Bassel’s passion. This is not his first workshop, he used to tutor a lot of origami workshops back here in Egypt. Actually if we consider origami as a popular art in Egypt at the moment, then Bassel is one of the pioneers!
Regarding Bassel, he is passionate, honest and so cool!
