About Katie
I am a Dentistry student with a passion for Maths and Biology, and I want to help students excel and reach their full potential. I have experience tutoring and working with children, and I am looking to tutor GCSE students in Sheffield or online alongside my university studies.
I believe there is no one size fits all approach to studying and revising, so I would love to help tailor each tutoring session to the individual student. Whether they need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for exams, completing homework or developing effective revision techniques, I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.
I am patient, approachable and enthusiastic, and I want to make learning enjoyable while helping students achieve their academic goals.

I take a friendly, patient and encouraging approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to suit the student’s individual needs and learning style. I believe in making lessons interactive and engaging, rather than simply going through content, and I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves. I use clear explanations, examples and practice questions to help students understand topics and build confidence.
Lessons are typically around 1 hour long, although I am happy to be flexible depending on the student’s needs. I am currently studying Dentistry at university, giving me a strong background in Biology, Chemistry and other sciences, as well as Maths. I also have experience teaching dance, which has developed my communication, patience and ability to explain things clearly.
My lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE students, particularly those looking for extra support in Science and Maths. I can help with understanding difficult topics, homework, exam preparation and revision techniques.
