About Nishat
I am currently studying dentistry at university because I will be able to have a positive impact on people’s lives, increase their confidence as well as enhance my own scientific knowledge throughout life. I have tutored GCSE and KS3 pupils previously and have seen the impact I had on their education and motivation to do well. In my spare time, I like to do swimming or cooking as I have found these activities to be therapeutic and enjoyable.

I would like to start off my lessons with a few questions to see my students’ initial level of understanding. I will then outline the lesson objectives and relevant specification points and deliver the main content of the lesson with some example questions going along. I would set some exam style questions for the student to complete, do active recall and mark to test their own understanding. Finally, I would ask the student to rate each objective either red, amber or green to see if they need further help on that topic. I think practising exam style questions frequently and analysing the mark scheme allows students to use the correct terminology, recognise how to answer questions correctly and understand different concepts. I will also include visuals and videos occasionally in some of my lessons as this is something I personally found helpful to learn. When it comes to exams, I would like to help my students create a revision timetable to help them stay organised and share some tips on how I did well on my exams.
