About Riley

Hi! I'm a 3rd Year Dental Student at the University of Manchester. I've been tutoring at GCSE, AS-level, and A-Level for 3 years, and have loved every minute of it so far!

Active recall with spaced repetition is my go-to method of revision. I teach my students exactly how to revise properly (something I wish I learnt much earlier).

Speaking from experience, having a tutor for some of my subjects throughout A-level made the difference between me getting into Dental School and not.

I understand how important tutoring can be to allow people to reach their potential, and I look forward to helping your child reach theirs!

In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and going to the gym!

About the lesson

My lessons are delivered in a relaxed but effective way. I know how difficult sciences can be. I provide method-based tutoring that gets through to students, regardless of where they are currently.

I teach topics in a fun and interactive way, regularly testing their knowledge with quick-fire questions to commit information to their long-term memory.

I teach all of my students how to effectively use active recall and spaced repetition to revise, meaning they're able to improve their Biology knowledge even outside of lesson times!

This is the most effective and most efficient way of revising - I'm all about reducing studying time and improving effectiveness in my students.

It's a technique that got me 3 A's in my A-Levels and something I continue to use in my Dental Surgery studies - I practice what I preach!
