About Peyton
I have spent the past 5 years working towards becoming a champion of student-centered education and language learning. During my undergraduate time at the University of Pittsburgh, I engaged in a number of unique educational experiences, including a classroom aide for students with autism, an online tutor for students k-12 in all subjects, and a student teacher for Spanish 2,3, and 4 classes. I worked diligently for Pitt's Center for Latin American Studies. I created language programs for students in Spanish, Portuguese, and Quechua, and I published 8 different articles about culture and language for anybody to engage with. Over the past year, I developed sustainability curriculum for a nonprofit in Pittsburgh, working with Carnegie Mellon University, NOMA, and Chatham University along the way.

I take an exploratory, student-centered approach to language education. Our sessions begin with casual conversation so I can learn your student's passions, interests, and motives for learning (and also just see how they're doing that day!). From here, any level and topic can integrate the student's perspective. Luckily, with years of teaching, tutoring, and curriculum design experience, I have learned how to navigate most academic challenges and questions on the fly in a creative way. Lessons will be mostly game and activity focused to really engage your student! Any and all students are welcome!
