About Kelly
My teaching style is professional, patient, and highly personalised. I take time to understand each student’s objectives and adapt lessons accordingly, whether the focus is everyday communication, grammar accuracy, pronunciation, or professional English. I believe that a positive learning environment is essential for progress, and I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and practise actively. As a tutor, I am reliable, well-prepared, and attentive to detail. I value clear communication, punctuality, and consistency, and I strive to ensure that every lesson is purposeful and rewarding. My aim is not only to improve my students’ English, but also to help them feel confident using it in real-life situations.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, practical, and focused on building confidence as well as accuracy. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s goals, whether that is improving conversation skills, grammar, pronunciation, or professional English for work. I use a communicative teaching approach, combining structured grammar input with guided speaking practice, real-world materials, and personalised feedback to ensure steady progress. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Each session includes a clear objective, active practice, and time for questions and reflection, so students always know what they are learning and why. I am degree-educated, a native English speaker, and TEFL-qualified, with experience teaching English as a second language to adult learners at different levels. I teach adults from beginner to advanced level, and all lessons are delivered online, making them flexible and accessible. My aim is to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and developing real, usable English skills.
