About Jeslyn

I am a patient and reliable English tutor focused on helping students build confidence in their reading, writing, and communication skills. I explain concepts clearly, adapt to each student’s learning style, and create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged.

About the lesson

My approach as an English tutor is focused on building confidence, clarity, and strong communication skills. I focus on developing key skills such as reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and analysis by breaking concepts into simple, clear steps and using relatable examples.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material or feedback on past work. Then, I introduce a specific focus for the session, such as analyzing a text, improving essay structure, or strengthening grammar skills. We work through examples together, followed by guided practice where the student applies what they have learned. I gradually encourage more independent work while providing detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement. Each lesson ends with a recap and clear next steps.

What sets me apart is my ability to explain ideas in a clear and structured way while adapting to each student’s learning style. I focus not only on improving grades but also on helping students develop confidence in their writing and critical thinking. I am patient, organized, and attentive to detail, and I aim to make each lesson engaging and productive.

My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students who want support with reading, writing, essay structure, literary analysis, or overall English improvement, including preparation for assignments and exams. However, I am highly comfortable teaching elementary school basics, such as grammar, spelling, and basic sentence or paragraph structure.
