About Reid
I am a dedicated Physics tutor with over 6 years of experience helping students understand complex physical systems. I hold a BSc in Physics with Computational Science, which allows me to combine theoretical physics with modern computational tools. My main teaching focus is thermodynamics and statistical mechanics.
I enjoy explaining how energy moves, transforms, and balances within physical systems. Concepts such as heat transfer, entropy, and molecular motion become easier when students can visualise them clearly. Simulations and virtual laboratories play a key role in my lessons.
Using interactive models, students can observe how particles behave and how microscopic interactions create macroscopic physical laws. These tools make abstract ideas more intuitive and engaging. Learning becomes an active exploration.
I also connect physics theory to everyday experiences. From the cooling of coffee to the efficiency of engines, thermodynamics appears everywhere around us. Understanding these connections makes physics meaningful.
My goal is to help students build strong conceptual understanding while developing curiosity about the physical world. Let’s explore the physics of heat, work, and microscopic order together.

My teaching approach focuses on making physics understandable, practical, and engaging for every student. I believe that complex physical ideas become clearer when they are explained with simple logic and real-world connections. Each lesson is designed to build confidence and curiosity.
I cover key areas of physics including mechanics, electromagnetism, electric circuits and current, waves and optics, and introductory quantum physics. These subjects are taught step by step so students can understand how each concept connects to the next. Learning becomes structured and logical.
Analogies and simulations are important tools in my lessons. They help students visualise invisible processes like electric fields, wave motion, and quantum behaviour. When students can imagine the system clearly, the physics becomes much easier to grasp.
I also focus on connecting physics to technology and scientific innovation. Students interested in engineering or space science receive guidance that strengthens their analytical thinking and technical understanding. This helps them move forward confidently in scientific fields.
Each lesson aims to illuminate complex phenomena and develop strong problem-solving skills.
