My methodology is to provide appropriate guidance to the student so that she/he/it can discover the solution by herself/himself/itself. I do this by using questions and comments that will guide the student's thinking process/approach to the problem/concept. In addition, I always try to relate seemingly hard/abstract mathematical ideas to concrete/pragmatic illustrations.
