About Matthew
I am delighted to offer science tutoring for all levels. I am a passionate scientist and find science tutoring deeply rewarding; indeed I am an active post-doctoral research scientist in Cambridge and have published numerous high profile publications in the field of Cancer Research. I have achieved the top grade in all science and maths qualifications from GCSE to Degree Level (First Class honours, Biochemistry, University of Oxford), and hold a PhD from the University of Cambridge. I believe I have an excellent understanding of what it takes to achieve the highest grades in GCSE and A-level science, and know how to transfer these ways of learning and thinking to my students. I believe that all students can achieve better GCSE and A-level grades given the right opportunity, way of learning and motivation. I provide very clear, course-specific comprehensive notes. I ensure that learning remains active (and fun!) during and after tutorials, which I believe is the key to success at GCSE and A-level. I look forward to meeting you or your child and doing everything I can to improve their academic performance. Matthew is an excellent biochemist with a wide range of knowledge and expertise. When I joined the same group as Matthew for my PhD I had little training in biology.
