About Theodora
I’m a dedicated and certified educator with a passion for helping students reach their full academic potential. I have been tutoring for 8 years, in after-school programs, government-assigned tasks, Kumon, and private tutoring settings. I have experienced teaching elementary learners of all ages and backgrounds.

As a tutor, my goal is to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. I focus on building understanding, not just memorization, by connecting lessons to real-life examples and each student’s interests. I believe that confidence is the foundation of success so I create a positive, encouraging space where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow from them.
I use a variety of methods to meet each student’s learning style, including visual aids, interactive activities, and step-by-step practice. Each session includes a quick warm-up, guided practice, independent work, and reflection. I tailor every lesson to fit each student’s learning style and goals, keeping things interactive and encouraging. I believe that not every student learns in the same way, and tutoring provides that personalization and differentiation that students need to thrive academically and understand concepts.
My lessons are best suited for elementary students who need support in reading, writing, or foundational math and want to grow in both skills and confidence. I have taught and tutored for all elementary grades.
