About Jolie
I am a Biology tutor with 7 years of experience and a BSc in Biological Sciences. I have worked with over 245 students from GCSE through to early undergraduate level across a wide range of biological topics. My lessons cover cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, ecology, evolutionary biology, human anatomy, and physiology. I am passionate about helping students see the logic and beauty of living systems while connecting biological theory to real-world applications in medicine, ecology, and biotechnology. My teaching approach is systematic, clear, and always adapted to the specific examination board and level of the student. My Biology lessons are structured to develop genuine understanding of biological systems rather than surface memorisation of disconnected facts. Every session begins with a focused review of previous content to consolidate learning and address any misconceptions. Cell biology sessions cover organelle structure and function, membrane transport, cell division, respiration, and photosynthesis using detailed annotated diagrams with clear logical explanations. Genetics topics include Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, molecular genetics, gene expression and regulation, and genetic technology applications. Ecology is taught through real environmental case studies connecting theory to genuine conservation challenges. Human physiology is covered systematically by organ system using clear anatomical diagrams that connect structure directly to physiological function. I use past paper questions throughout every lesson to develop examination technique alongside content knowledge. A-Level students receive specific coaching on required practical techniques and scientific data analysis skills. Clear structured notes and a set of targeted practice questions are provided after every session. My goal is for every student to understand Biology at a genuinely deep level and approach every examination with confidence.
