About Sydney
Hi! I'm Sydney, a dance artist, choreographer, and movement coach based in Boise, Idaho with two decades of dance education.
I have notably trained and performed through the Utah State University Dance Company, the Boise State University Dance Department, Idaho Dance Theatre, and the Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Boise State University, with areas of study including Dance, Arts Entrepreneurship, and English Literature. I have had the opportunity to teach and choreograph with a number of dance studios and organizations in Utah and Idaho, which has allowed me to gain experience working with a wide variety of ages and levels. I teach ballet, jazz (traditional, funk, commercial, heels), contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and strength and conditioning for dancers (grounded in the principles of mat Pilates).
I am passionate about the power of movement to inspire, instill confidence, and enrich lives. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, explore, and thrive. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Informed by expertise in ballet, jazz, and mat pilates, I work with dancers and movers of all levels* to increase overall strength, flexibility, and coordination. Whether you are a pre-professional or beginner-level dancer, I will help you evaluate your current skill levels, outline a training regimen, and achieve your unique movement goals.
I offer private and semi-private lessons remotely and in-person. I have a small home-studio located in Southeast Boise where I offer lessons (private lessons only), or I can travel to your residence/other studio space (private or semi-private lessons). For the latter option, appropriate space and flooring is necessary for adequate instruction. I will also schedule remote lessons via zoom.
