About Jean-Loup
I'm Dr. Jedd, and eclectic musician and composer. I have been playing music for over 20 years accross many forms: piano and drums, classical, African and Latin percussion, composition and arrangements, DJing and electronic production ...
I graduated from the London Center of Contemporary Music with a Bachelor of Performance and Music Production (BMUS) and I then got a Master of Creative Entrepreneurship in Music (MA) at the London College for Creative Media.
I am passionate about all styles of music, to the extend I am travelling to the other side of the world to learn about other musical cultures. I am currently immerged in the incredible traditions of South America (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina ...)
I transmit my love for music by teaching it in public schools (up to 250 children) and privately for motivated individuals (of any level).
Having lived in London over 5 years, I am very fluent with english, both in spoken and written form.

I developed my own methodology through my Masters thesis and years of teaching experience. This medology is actually very simple:
- The learning process is broken down into mini-lessons, which are easier to understand and digest
- The course revolves around the student's personal objectives, his favorite style and his personal way of learning (e.g. you may have a more visual memory, a long commute you can use to learn theory, etc.)
- The role of the teacher is to offer a tailored set of modules adapted to the personality of the student, and to coach him to reach his/her goals with satisfaction and speed
In practice, lessons are given online by webcam, with a keyboard as well as visual and audio resources. Homework is to be expected, but it is chosen by the student himself.
An example of a mini-lesson made by myself is available in the video part of this announcement.
