About Dana
Hi! My name is Dana Kauye, and I’m currently a Year 11 student studying General Mathematics. I’m offering friendly and affordable math tutoring for younger students in kindergarten and primary school who may need a little extra help or simply want to feel more confident in math. My main language is english but I can speak a little korean towards students.
As a student myself, I understand that math can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming, especially when you’re learning new concepts. My goal is to make lessons comfortable and easy to understand by explaining things step-by-step and adjusting my teaching to suit each student’s learning style.
I can help with understanding mathematical concepts, working through practice questions, preparing for tests, and building confidence with topics that students may be struggling with.
I’m happy to tutor online and can work around the student’s school schedule. I’m especially interested in helping pre school and primary students develop a strong foundation in mathematics in a supportive and encouraging environment.

My approach to tutoring is to make lessons comfortable, clear and personalized. Rather than simply giving students answers, I focus on helping them understand why a method works and giving them the confidence to solve similar questions independently.
I like to begin by finding out what the student already understands and which areas they find difficult. From there, I can adjust each lesson to suit their individual needs. We might work through concepts step-by-step, practice questions together, identify mistakes, and then gradually move towards the student completing questions independently.
