About Hiral
With a Master’s degree in Chemistry specializing in Medicinal Chemistry, I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Pharmacology Department at Bombay College of Pharmacy and concurrently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology. My research focuses on small molecule drug discovery, including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) modeling, in silico screening, computational simulation, hit identification, and lead optimization. I am engaged in preclinical testing using cell cultures and C elegans as in vivo models. Previously, I applied my skills as a Research and Quality Analyst at Nisarg Herbaceutical, contributing to innovative projects in pharmaceutical research. Committed to advancing pharmaceutical innovation, I aim to bridge computational and experimental approaches to foster impactful advancements in drug discovery and development.

As a teacher, I believe in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where concepts are not just taught but understood and applied. I use a blend of lectures, case studies, real-life examples, and discussion-based learning to simplify complex Pharmacology topics for undergraduate Pharmacy students. Typically, my classes begin with a brief recap of the previous session, followed by concept explanation using visuals, flowcharts, and clinical correlations, and conclude with short problem-solving exercises or Q&A for reinforcement. My strength lies in breaking down difficult topics into simpler parts and connecting theory with practical applications in healthcare. I encourage active participation and critical thinking, ensuring students develop both knowledge and confidence. My classes are designed primarily for college-level students pursuing Pharmacy, but my approach remains adaptable to suit learners with varying levels of background knowledge.
