As a certified math teacher with a B.A. and M.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology, I am passionate about helping students enjoy math and science, paving the way for their success in these subjects. I believe every student has unique learning needs and styles. Since students learn best when they enjoy the process and find relevance in what they are studying, I strive to create an effective learning environment by tailoring my approach and exploring various ways to present topics in a way that resonates with them. Each lesson begins with a brief overview of the topic and its relevance to the student’s interests or goals. Key concepts are explained using clear, step-by-step methods with visual aids if necessary. Students are then guided through practice problems, with the difficulty adjusted to build their confidence and skills. We conclude by reviewing key takeaways and addressing any lingering questions. What sets me apart as a teacher and tutor is my patience and adaptability. As a parent, I’ve learned the importance of giving children the time they need to reach their own understanding while guiding them with different approaches tailored to their individual needs. My lessons are for elementary and middle school students seeking support in math and science or looking to explore these subjects beyond the classroom.
