About Mena
My name is Mena, I am 19 years old, and I am currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Hertfordshire. I completed my GCSEs with strong results, achieving mostly grades 9s and 8s, and went on to study A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Economics, alongside completing an EPQ. These subjects have given me a solid academic foundation, particularly in science, and I am confident teaching GCSE-level content and below. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading and attending Pilates classes, which help me maintain balance and discipline alongside my academic commitments.

I have worked with many tutors throughout my own education, which has given me a clear understanding of what effective teaching looks like and what does not. This experience allows me to adapt my approach to each student and remain flexible to their individual learning styles. I am particularly skilled at breaking down complex topics into simple, structured explanations that are easier to understand and remember. I place strong emphasis on active recall and continuous checking of understanding to ensure students are truly retaining information rather than memorising passively. I am also familiar with a wide range of effective study techniques and resources, which enables me to support students in building confidence, independence, and long-term academic success.
