Most of my tutoring experience comes from volunteering with an organization that aids adults in attaining their GED. My tutoring methodology is backed by my a course in ‘The Psychology of Learning’ at Case Western Reserve University.
I strongly believe in an approach to tutoring in which we start from basic principles and move forward at a pace that suits each individual student. I believe that identifying basic conceptual misconceptions is the key to learning effectively.
Furthermore, I believe that a comfortable relationship between tutor and learner is paramount to facilitating learning. Therefore, it is my primary goal to make students feel as comfortable as possible throughout the learning process.
I’m currently on track to graduate minors in chemistry, biology, and computer science. I feel most comfortable tutoring students in college level chemistry, biology, and algebra!
