About Samira
I am a second-year BSc(Hons) Computer Science with a Year in Industry student at King’s College London and a dedicated mathematics enthusiast. Mathematics has always been my strongest subject and the one I am most passionate about. All through school, I consistently ranked at the top of my class, often scoring near-perfect marks, and received multiple awards for academic excellence in mathematics year after year. This consistent achievement reflects not just ability, but also the discipline and love I have for the subject. My journey in mathematics has extended beyond the classroom. I actively participated in mathematics symposiums and research discussions, and I even dedicated my IB Extended Essay to a mathematics-focused topic. These experiences allowed me to think about mathematics more deeply and creatively, sharpening my problem-solving skills and ability to explain concepts in clear, accessible ways. I also have hands-on tutoring experience, having taught and mentored juniors at my school after hours. This experience gave me strong insight into the common challenges students face—such as understanding concepts but struggling to apply them under exam pressure. I developed effective strategies to engrave methods, reduce mistakes, and master exam-style questions. These are the same techniques I now use to guide my students towards confidence and success. With my academic background, teaching experience, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others, I am confident that I can be the perfect tutor for any student who wants to improve their mathematical skills and achieve excellent results.

I am a passionate and accomplished mathematics student with a strong academic record. I achieved A*s in International Mathematics IGCSE and Additional Mathematics IGCSE, as well as a 7 in IB Mathematics AA HL. I was awarded the Certificate for Academic Excellence in Mathematics every year from Year 10 to Year 13. Beyond academics, I have always immersed myself in mathematics-related extracurriculars, such as participating in symposiums, research discussions, and completing my IB Extended Essay in mathematics. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Computer Science at King’s College London, which further strengthens my problem-solving skills and mathematical foundation. Alongside my studies, I have extensive tutoring experience, having taught and mentored juniors after school. This experience has given me a clear understanding of how students learn best and how to guide them effectively, whether they need support with fundamentals or advanced problem-solving. In my lessons, I take a structured, topic-by-topic approach. I begin by asking students which areas they need the most help with, then explain the content using both official textbooks and my detailed notes. After clarifying concepts, I work through practice questions with them, focusing especially on problems they find difficult, to build confidence and mastery. Lessons typically last 60 to 90 minutes, which allows enough time to understand the topic thoroughly while applying it in practice. I teach students aged 15–19 preparing for IGCSE or IB Mathematics, helping them strengthen their skills, improve their performance, and develop a genuine confidence in the subject.
