About Ash
I have been tutoring AP Computer Science and mathematics for over 4 years, with a 5/5 star rating. I encourage my students to help me after our first few sessions with “grows and glows”: glows being the highlights/what went well from the sessions, while grows reference what I can do better for the students to cater to their learning style. All in all, I always remember that the epitome of what I do is centered around my students. I push my students to do the best they can in learning new material, while also creating a safe space for the communication to go both ways, for my students to tell me what they need and how I can support their learning!

I have extensive practice in tutoring in Java and precalculus as well as thorough understanding of front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I approach teaching with compassion, understanding, and simplifying concepts at initial introduction. I have a passion for learning and teaching, which drives me to ensure that my students not only master the skills required for these topics, but also to remove the preconceptions that these subjects are scary to approach. My motto is that a great teacher can help every learning style and I have been successful thus far in accomplishing this goal.
