About Byron

Hello! I’m Byron, and I’m an A-level Maths student with a strong passion for helping others succeed in mathematics. I recently achieved top grades in my GCSEs, securing 9s in both Mathematics and Numeracy, and I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring younger students at my school, which is something I truly enjoyed.

I understand that learning maths can be challenging at times, but I believe that with the right approach, anyone can succeed. My goal is to make lessons engaging and easy to follow, helping you build confidence and gain a deeper understanding of the subject. Whether you’re tackling GCSE Mathematics or starting your A-level journey, I’m here to guide you through the tough topics and make the process more enjoyable.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is different from the way teachers typically deliver content. As an A-level Maths student who recently completed GCSE Mathematics, I understand the challenges you might face because I’ve been through them myself. Being closer to your age, I believe I can connect with you on a more relatable level, offering support more like a helpful peer than a traditional teacher. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where you feel encouraged to ask questions and build your confidence.

Typical length of lesson would completely differ from the topic we are studying/ how strong you are in that certain topic. But an estimate would be around 2-3 hours which should be enough to cover a topic.

As an A-level Maths student, I may not yet have formal qualifications beyond my GCSEs, where I achieved 9s in both Mathematics and Numeracy. However, I have experience tutoring younger students at my school, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This experience inspired me to take up tutoring as a passion project, combining my love for maths with the satisfaction of helping others improve and succeed

My lessons will primarily focus on GCSE students studying Mathematics or Further Mathematics. However, I am also able to assist students across all year groups in secondary school, including those who have recently started Year 12 and are beginning their A-level studies.
