About Tom
I am currently a 3rd year maths student at Imperial College London. I have always been incredibly passionate about maths, and I really enjoy the problem-solving aspect, whether it is a calculus problem or a proof. I love discussing and explaining concepts with others, not only to share with them and to get their input, but also I feel it solidifies my own understanding. I also find teaching immensely rewarding and I hope I can help others to see the beauty in maths as I do.

I am able to teach from maths GCSE level up to further maths A-level and beyond. I can tailor my teaching to meet the student's individual needs, whether that is simply helping them with exam techniques or explaining concepts in an intuitive or visual way with the help of analogies, pictures and graphs. I can help students to answer typical exam questions and also give them tips on how to maximise results even in challenging exams. The student can decide the pace of the lesson, and we can spend as much time on a concept as needed until the student feels they have sufficient understanding. I am flexible when it comes to lesson length, anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, and I am happy to teach in person or online. My experience teaching is mostly from assisting A-level students with exam questions while I was in Sixth form, and helping my younger siblings with GCSE maths and physics.
