About Tomika
I am currently a full-time science and humanities high school teacher, and I love passing my skills and content knowledge on to students. I am looking to continue educating students outside of a classroom setting, as I find this extremely rewarding to watch individual students progress. I have strong interests in the areas of science and humanities and hope to pass on this passion and interest to students.

My tutoring technique matches similarly to my classroom teaching approach, where I keep my lessons learner-centered. This means that before each lesson I tailor what my student needs to the content, and the way they best learn to the approach to teaching them. Usually, for grades 7- 9 my lesson length would be 45 minutes, as this is the best researched time for this age group of students to focus. For grades 10-12 I tailor my lessons to 1 hour, as this is the best way to fit content and practice into a tutoring session.
I have tutored all age groups in maths, science, and humanities, whilst I was completing my education degree. I am now a fully qualified high school teacher and I am looking to further pass my knowledge and skills on to students, outside a classroom setting.
