About Lybah
I am a final-year English Literature student with a genuine passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Teaching appeals to me as it allows me to make a direct impact on students’ progress, by helping them improve grades, as well as building their confidence and enjoyment of the subject. I want to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their own ideas, and seeing English as more than just an exam subject.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, focusing on building confidence in reading, writing, and analysis. For KS2 through GCSE, I break topics into manageable steps, using discussion, close reading and practice questions to encourage independent thinking. My 90-minute sessions combine structured activities with open dialogue, so students stay engaged while deepening their understanding. With experience as a community tutor for primary school students, and as an English Literature undergraduate working as a Student Ambassador, I have helped to inspire younger students at open days, summer schools, and outreach events to see the value of studying literature at university. I bring subject knowledge, patience, and clear communication to every session.
For GCSE, i specialise in the OCR syllabus, specifically, Macbeth, Great Expectations, Animal Farm and Love and Relationships in poetry.
