About Scotlynn
I am a university student at Indiana State University. I am currently majoring in English with a minor in language studies. I have about 2 years of tutoring experience through helping classmates and younger family members. My essays have appeared in amongst some of the well preformed essays in my classes. I am a well accomplished reader and well versed in many topics considering literature. I am passionate about English and teaching younger students. I am an aspiring teacher to help make the difference in someone's life one page at a time.

- I tend to build strong relationships with my students to help them learn according to their strengths and weaknesses.
- I like to bring out student's strengths to help them build them stronger and turn their weaknesses into strengths
- A typical lesson plan would be personal according to the student. For example a reading session may look like this:
> 2+ minute reading warmup
> 5+ minutes of work work/comprehension
> 1+ minutes book introduction
> 8+ minutes of independent or guided reading
> 2+ minutes of a reading/book summary and word comprehension
> 2+ minutes of a quick write related to the material
- Something that sets me apart as a tutor is that I will incorporate the interests of my students into the material. It makes learning a lot more fun and easier for students to understand.
- My lessons are for any grades K-12 who need help with anything English/reading related
