About Rachel
I am currently enrolled in a double degree program at Wilfrid Laurier and Sussex University, pursuing both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Law Degree (LLB), I have developed essential skills in time management, organization, and effective communication. These qualities, combined with my drive to learn quickly and dedication to performing tasks to the best of my ability, make me confident in my ability to effectively carry out the responsibilities outlined in being the best tutor I can be.

As a tutor, my approach is centered around fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter through personalized instruction and engaging activities. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring concepts at their own pace. My teaching methodology involves breaking down complex topics into manageable chunks, employing real-life examples and analogies to make abstract ideas more relatable. A typical lesson plan starts with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning, followed by introducing new concepts with clear explanations and guided practice. Interactive discussions and collaborative problem-solving activities are integrated to enhance critical thinking and application skills. What sets me apart as a tutor is my dual perspective from pursuing both a Bachelor of Arts and a Law Degree, allowing me to offer interdisciplinary insights and a holistic understanding of various subjects. My lessons cater to students from Grades 1-12, focusing on subjects related to humanities, social sciences, and english, where I can leverage my academic background and practical skills to support their academic growth and success.
