About Kolton

Third-year medical student at PNWU. I graduated from the University of Washington with a double major in Biology and Spanish. I love physiology and inquisitive thinking. I hope to be able to help you understand biology and related sciences throughout your time here.

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching style is structured, active, and learner-centered. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply rather than memorizing isolated facts.

Key techniques I use:

Concept-first teaching: I start with the “why” before the details, so everything that follows makes sense.

Active recall and questioning: I regularly ask students to explain ideas back to me, predict outcomes, or solve problems aloud.

Clinical or real-world framing (when applicable): This helps students connect abstract material to practical use.

Adaptive pacing: I slow down for difficult topics and move quickly through areas of strength.

Spaced repetition and pattern recognition: Especially useful for heavy memorization subjects like medicine, biology, or pharmacology.

I aim to create a low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that’s where real learning happens.
