About Aadam

I am very passionate about teaching; I think that math is a subject in which a lot of students struggle. Even when I was a student in elementary school, I remember doing flashcards in order to strengthen my math skills. I think that math can be a fun and interesting subject, it just has to be taught in a manner that students will take an interest compared to the common core method or any state standardized method of teaching mathematics.

About the lesson

I don't use a cookie cutter method to teach, instead I prefer to spend a good amount of time with my students for the sole reason each student is unique. No one student learns in a certain manner. Education needs to take a new approach instead of numbers measure progress. I will look at what topics need to be taught and ask the students what they are currently learning in school. At their first session I will take notes as to how they learn. From there build my lesson plan. A typical lesson plan would be to first get the students warmed up. Before each lesson begins I will see where they stand in their progress. From there we will work on the areas of weakness. At the end of the lesson an exit slip will be given to see if they have improved.
