About Emma

I am an American currently completing a PGCE course in Secondary Maths at the University of Manchester. As such, I am DBS checked in the UK and I also have police clearance from the US. I completed my BA in Mathematics at Drew University, my undergraduate university in New Jersey, USA. I have experience tutoring high level Maths with the tutoring centre at Drew University. Additionally, I have experience working with children as I have worked as a sports coach in New York City. I am extremely reliable and personable with friends and my colleagues. I have a passion for travelling the world, building relationships, and embracing different cultures which in turn has given me deeper understanding of peer to peer relationships. I am hardworking and tenacious by nature, which has aided me greatly throughout my experience in university. My experience working with children has taught me patience and the importance of co-operation. All I can say is what a blessing Emma has been to me and my daughter. My daughter was having a lot of trouble with math at not only did Emma help her with math but she built up her confidence. Emma is very dedicated and has a lot of strategies to help students understand what they are doing.

Emma Agostini possesses the unique quality of being able to endear herself to the most reluctant of learners. she is sincere in her desire to help children learn and uses many modalities, means and methods in her lessons. Emma is well planned and does a great job to excite a lesson to the students. She is a high-energy tutor who engages her students in many meaningful learning activities. She perseveres and her students thrive.

I am so glad she is my daughter's tutor, she does a lot more than just tutor she made my daughter believe in herself and now she is flourishing on her on. My daughter has come so far in the past year it has been amazing. My daughter is no longer in AIS, she is on the Honor Roll and has been ever since we have been tutored by Emma.
