I currently work in a geochemistry lab analysing and processing samples. I have a bachelor of Mining Science.. I currently work as a self employed after school tutor called The YSAM program (Your Student Athlete Mentor) which involves kids completing their homework, participating in specific learning areas that target their weaknesses but also participate in different sporting activities.

As a student athlete mentor I base my teaching methodology of encouraging a healthy lifestyle both in the classroom and out in the sports field. I believe in teaching should encourage creative thinking, team work and problem solving. Like a coach or a mentor you demonstrate the lesson but you allow the students to practice themselves. Just like a driver instructor your mainly there to guide them but allowing the student to actively participate in the activity. The lesson may involve mandatory homework classes, daily reading and writing and specialized maths learning for each child. The lesson also involves running activities and team work games.
