Current A-Level A* English Literature student! I can tutor at GCSE level and below. I have previously peer mentored in high school for 2 years and I gained a 9 at English Literature at GCSE.

So I am in my second year of College studying English Literature, History and Politics, hoping to study Politics and International Relations at Durham University this coming September.
For hobbies, I used to play the violin for 6 years as well as, participating in musical theatre. I also really enjoy keeping fit and healthy, as I am frequently at the gym and I’m training for a half-marathon.
I understand not everyone enjoys English or wants to enjoy it either, but I believe I can help you understand it and do well. Then if you begin to fall in love with it as much as I do then that is simply an added bonus.
I think English Literature is an amazing subject because of the fluidity it allows in a student’s response and the fact there is not one right answer.

As being a current student myself, I understand how students enjoy learning and best receive information. My lessons are well planned and balanced, I like to mix different sorts of resources such as visual and audio, to help keep students engaged and appeal to different learning types. My lessons are centred around the students and their needs, to achieve the best that they can possibly do. As mentioned I did Peer Mentor in high school whilst studying for my GCSEs to Year 7 and Year 8 students. Since I have done my GCSEs and achieved a 9 as well as being in my 2nd of College, I feel as though I am best to tutor at Year 11 and below. My lessons typically are an hour however, they can be slightly less or longer to cater to a students needs.
