About Maci
I love literature and writing, but I love to share my passion even more! I hope to encourage students to emphasize their preexisting strengths and to improve any areas of difficulty. From sports to math to art, I believe that any individual has the capacity to represent their interests through their reading and writing.

I teach with the knowledge that every individual provides a unique and personal perspective on writing and literature. I do not believe that anyone is "bad" in English class -- rather, they may simply need guidance to organize their distinctive abilities in order to flourish. A typical lesson plan would include guiding the student through their own thoughts regarding a specific text. I also encourage peer proofreading and emphasize the value of reading writing drafts out loud. I would be best suited to tutor high schoolers and undergraduate college students. I am passionate about my studies and would love to help encourage others to succeed in their English classes!
