About Charlie
I am an undergraduate Ivy League student-athlete at Columbia University, offering structured support for high school GCSE and A-Level students (or ages 11-18 if based outside of the UK) who want to improve their analytical skills and exam performance. Having recently completed the same academic journey myself, I understand exactly what examiners look for and how to help students improve their literary analysis and essay writing skills to achieve top grades. My lessons are professional, well organized and tailored to each student's goals. I aim to create a supportive and focused environment where students can build both skill and confidence. As a student-athlete, I bring discipline, reliability and strong time management to every session. Students and parents can expect a committed and professional approach designed to help students feel fully prepared for their exams.

- 1:1 personalized tutoring with focus on exam preparation, revision techniques and enhancing literary analysis.
- My lessons are designed to help students gain confidence in close reading, essay structure, and critical interpretation while learning how to meet the specific needs of timed exams.
- A typical lesson usually includes a short review of key concepts, focused work on a text or exam question, guided literary analysis, and a timed or structured writing practice. Each session ends with clear feedback and specific targets for improvement so students know exactly how to progress.
- What matters most to me as tutor is helping students become independent thinkers, I am particularly motivated by students who want to improve their grades or achieve top marks.
- My lessons are best suited for high school GCSE and A-Level students (or ages 11-18 if based outside of the UK) who want support with exam preparation and literary analysis, whether they are aiming to improve confidence or achieve the highest grades.
