About Samantha

Hi! My name is Samantha, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at the International Medical University (IMU).

I have always enjoyed learning and sharing knowledge with others, which inspired me to become a tutor. Throughout my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to support and guide other students through my school's Mentor-Mentee Program and my current involvement in IMU's Tutor-Tutee Program.

As a Biomedical Science student, I have developed a strong foundation in scientific concepts and critical thinking skills, especially in Biology. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simpler explanations so that students can understand concepts clearly rather than relying only on memorization.

I believe that every student has the ability to improve with the right guidance, patience, and learning approach. My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and continue improving.

I am passionate about helping students strengthen their fundamentals, improve their academic performance, and develop a genuine interest in learning. I hope to make lessons a positive and enjoyable experience while guiding students towards achieving their personal goals.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building strong understanding and confidence rather than rushing through the syllabus. I believe every student has a different learning pace, so I personalize my lessons according to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning needs.

Before starting a new topic, I usually conduct a short assessment or pre-test to understand the student's current level of knowledge and identify areas that require more attention. This allows me to plan lessons effectively and ensure that students have a strong foundation before progressing to more advanced concepts.

For each lesson, I provide structured notes, explanations, examples, and exercises to help students understand and apply what they have learned. I focus on explaining concepts in a simple and engaging way, encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate during lessons.

My lessons typically range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student's level, learning goals, and concentration ability. I believe quality learning comes from proper understanding and practice rather than simply covering many topics in a short period of time.

I have completed my SPM with 7As, completed my Foundation in Science, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at the International Medical University (IMU). I also have tutoring and mentoring experience through my school's Mentor-Mentee Program and IMU's Tutor-Tutee Program. Currently, I am teaching IGCSE Year 10 Biology, further strengthening my experience in guiding students academically.

My lessons are suitable for:
• Primary school students who need support in core subjects such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, and Science.
• Secondary school students, including Form 4 and IGCSE students, who require guidance in Biology.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, improve their understanding, and develop confidence in their own abilities.
