About Logan

I am currently a 3rd year History major, having tutored multiple students at the high school level as well as introductory college level courses. I have taught and instructed dozens of students with successful results for mainly AP testing in U.S. History and Government. I too have taken these test and have taught many students, with a vast majority of my students passing the exam with a 3 or above. I take pride in my work. If you show me you want to succeed, I will do everything in my power to help you get there. I hope that every student I aid will be successful in their work, as well as continuing interest in the field of history itself.

About the lesson

I believe that the methods for teaching need to be concise and simple. I teach every student in a way they are most comfortable, allowing them to grasp as much knowledge in our time together.

Each lesson varies depending on the subject. I will dive into any subject as much as the student wishes in order for them to be as successful as possible. I will include both readings and possible writing assignments for outside the session if requested, again, for whatever may make the student successful. I am always willing to take advice, as well as change lessons for whatever the student may be learning.

An example of an hour lesson may look something like this:

If the subject is known before hand, a small powerpoint presentation with discussion and questions is usually a great start to learning a subject, included with this is often time videos, pictures, comparisons, with questions be able to be asked at any point throughout.

If the lesson is for writing an essay or paper, I usually will include some topics I enjoy, along with possible examples with evidence to help support that. I will of course help with any questions and elaborations needed, but I of course encourage the student to always write in their own words.

The lessons will always vary, and I am willing to answer any questions that a student or parents might ask before hand.

My pricing levels vary, overall I mainly do this to help students as well for experience before I become a teacher. If you have an issues with cost I am willing to negotiate a price that better suits you.
