About Matthew
As a current high school student who consistently excels in advanced math courses, I bring a fresh, relatable perspective to tutoring. I understand the current curriculum because I am actively immersed in it every day. Outside of academics, my background in tech, computer logic, and strategy-based hobbies has trained me to break down complex, multi-step problems into simple, manageable pieces. I know firsthand how frustrating high school math can be when the teacher's explanation just doesn't make sense. In my lessons, I focus on translating complicated textbook jargon into plain, easy-to-understand English. Whether we are tackling Algebra, Geometry, or Pre-Calculus, we will break down problems step-by-step at your own pace. I also focus on teaching you how to use modern tools like Desmos (to an extent) and graphing calculators effectively. I can also teach some chemistry, too! My goal is to make your math homework a lot less stressful and build your confidence for test day!
