Teaching Methodology and Techniques
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundational understanding before moving into advanced problem solving. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained clearly, broken into manageable steps, and connected to real-life examples. I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s learning pace and preferred method (visual, practice-based, or discussion-based). I emphasize active learning by having students explain concepts back to me, solve guided practice questions, and gradually work toward independent problem solving. I also focus on exam strategies, common mistakes, and efficient ways to approach questions.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson usually follows this structure:
Concept Review (5–10 min): Quick review of previous material or homework questions.
Concept Teaching (15–25 min): Clear explanation of the new topic using examples and step-by-step breakdowns.
Guided Practice (15–20 min): We solve questions together while I explain the thinking process.
Independent Practice (10–15 min): Student attempts questions while I provide support and feedback.
Summary & Next Steps (5 min): Review key ideas and assign optional practice for reinforcement.
