About Emma
I have always taken great pride in my academic achievements. However, I understand the struggles many students face in classroom learning. An opportunity for one-on-one tutoring allows a student to get a personalized learning experience and a better chance to ask questions and focus on specific areas which need improvement. There’s great importance in finding what works best for you. This includes what type of learning style works best for you (what helps you get the fullest understanding of course material), and what study methods work best. I found what works for me, and I not only want to give other students the knowledge they need to pass courses but to help them understand their learning needs and gain the skills and habits to succeed in future courses.

I understand the importance of a personalized approach to learning. Not often do students get the chance to learn through methods they find work best for them. That’s why my lessons are able to be adapted to support each individual student's needs. I encourage finding study techniques which are effective, helpful, and beneficial for students. I support students by: -creating a clearer understanding of concepts and also making sure there’s an understanding of why we use certain equations or why specific ideas make sense -providing examples and relating topics to the real world. -providing plenty of examples of possible test or homework questions so students feel more prepared -helping with study methods to be used outside of tutoring sessions to further improve study habits and understanding of course materials Since I’m still attending high school my knowledge is relevant and reliable. I am currently looking to tutor students between the grade of 7-12 in areas of study such as math or science (functions, calculus, algebra, biology, physics, chemistry, etc.) I will be tutoring virtually however students will get the same experience as in person.
