About Zaim
I'm Zaim, an experienced tutor with almost a year's worth of experience in tutoring at GCSE and A-Level standard in Mathematics, Economics and Politics. I would describe myself as a highly passionate yet fun tutor who is able to help students truly engage with their subject to reach their potential in their respected subject they wish to improve upon. My aim is to ensure my students feel comfortable asking questions and ensuring they leave the lesson understanding every aspect of the concepts discussed. Whilst I offer primarily subject-focused tuition, I also offer advice for UCAS applications and general advice for students needing guidance regarding their future for higher education. As an offer holder for top universities such as UCL, Durham, Bristol amongst other Russell groups, I will be able to help you navigate the complicated UCAS admissions process.

Typically, I like to test my students' understanding first of what they do and do not understand from a topic via quizzes, past paper questions and what they can recall from the topic. Then, I would build by figuring out where there are gaps in understanding and knowledge. I like to do worked questions myself, showing step by step how to understand and solve the question a few times. Then, I give my students the chance to do the same, explaining to me exactly their thought process in each question to ensure they truly comprehend the content as opposed to just recalling it - which is often the difference needed to achieve those top grades.
