My teaching approach is student-centred and personalised. I focus on building a strong foundation in reading comprehension, creative writing, and critical thinking. My lessons are designed to be fun and engaging, helping students develop confidence in their abilities. We'll work on everything from grammar and vocabulary to analysing texts and writing compelling stories, with each lesson tailored to the student's individual goals. A typical session is one hour long. This provides enough time to cover a variety of topics, from reading a new text to practising writing skills. For younger students, we can adjust the length to 45 minutes if needed. My experience as a primary school tutor and my background in performance have given me a deep appreciation for storytelling and communication. With over 12 years of experience performing in children's theatre and three years as a private tutor, I specialise in helping young people express themselves clearly and creatively. I also have experience tutoring primary school children whose primary language is other than English. I welcome students of all levels, from those who need a little extra help with their schoolwork to those who love to read and write. My lessons are ideal for children and teenagers who are looking for a supportive environment to improve their English skills and find confidence in their voice.
