About Adam
I have taught maths for six years, working with 260 students across a wide range of ages and confidence levels. My background shaped my belief that maths should feel genuinely interesting rather than dry and disconnected from real life. My style is warm, curious, and playful, and I keep the atmosphere relaxed so students engage without fear of being judged. I particularly enjoy working with students labelled as simply not mathematical, since that label almost always fades with the right engaging approach applied consistently. Watching real curiosity develop in a student is deeply satisfying to witness over time.

I open topics with a real world puzzle before any formal method, letting curiosity build before explanation begins. Estimation and number sense are emphasised throughout, since guessing a rough answer first sharpens intuition and catches errors. Pacing stays flexible within each lesson, ready to follow a spontaneous question if it opens a better learning path. Sessions end with a short reflection on the day's main idea, said in the student's own words. Mistakes are treated as useful information, never something to be embarrassed about, throughout every session we spend together working through problems.
