About Emma
From 7th grade up until I graduated high school, I was in a program called AVID which taught college preparedness in the form of conversation, research, and success. My senior year of high school, I was a teacher's assistant for an underclassmen AVID class. I have been a mentor to young kids through summer camps as well as while I was a teacher's assistant. During my time in AVID, I was taught how to tutor people in a way that is effective to them and I will continue to work with the tutee until they understand.

As a tutor, I would like to cater to the needs of the individual person tutoring. I am able to tutor in statistics, underclassmen math, as well as college/university preparation. In statistics, I would focus on memory tactics in order to remember when to use which formula/function. In underclassmen math, I would cater to the less understood topics and revise on the more well known topics. Finally, for college/university preparation, I was in a college preparation class AVID from 7th grade until I graduated high school which allowed us to research colleges and methods to succeed in college. These lessons would be for high school students and at the very highest, underclass college students.
