About Rachel
Hi, my name is Rachel and I am an enthusiastic and inspiring online private tutor from the UK!
I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy with Psychology from the University of Warwick, a Masters Degree in Criminology from Durham University and am currently studying for my PhD in Criminology at the University of Leicester. My A Level Qualifications include Maths (A), Religious Studies (A) and Biology (B).

I love to learn and want to pass this passion onto others. My tutoring prowess is recognised by my student engagement. I like to make my lessons fun, with a focus on inspired learning. If the student enjoys the content, they are more likely to retain the information and excel! Therefore I run my lessons with a mixture of guided learning, with a view to building up independent work and problem solving. But I think it is important to tailor classes to the specific needs of the students, therefore I love to adapt my teaching style as required.
Lessons are usually an hour long and for all aged 14 and above.
I have over 10 years experience tutoring various subjects (Religious Studies, Criminology, Science, Maths and English) both online and offline. More recently, I have 3 years experience teaching English as a foreign language online to Chinese students.
