About Katie
I am currently in my third year of university studying criminology and sociology to receive and graduate with a degree. I have decided to start up doing tutoring classes as i feel my knowledge and depth of understanding specifically in these subjects could benefit those needing a helping hand and possibly more advanced knowledge. I have my higher in sociology and have been studying the topic for around four years so have a detailed understanding. I live in Dundee and I am happy to accommodate various time throughout the week days and weekends that would best fit in with your schedule. I can also travel if access to the tutoring service was for some reason unavailable I can come to you in your own home if this is preferred! Although i specify in sociology, i also have an advanced higher, higher and national 5 in English, higher geography, higher and national 5 maths, higher photography, higher biology, and a HNC in social sciences.

I am a 20 year old student living in Dundee who is currently at university. I can provide tutoring to a variety of levels such as higher and degree level. My methodology varies depending on the specific topic of sociology you are studying for example if we were looking specifically at theorists of early sociology we would look at each individual such as Karl Marx and discuss his main arguments in the sociological thesis. I would then move on to detailed examination of each part of a theorists manifesto by which we would then compare them to each other. This will allow for comparative writing on the topics to be established and a much more serious knowledge of the topic to be constructed.
Each individual learns differently in my eyes and I feel that the same method for one student doesn't always work for everyone! If a student feels more comfortable through reading and literature or visual learning through mind maps and images this can be more focused on and the lessons can be adapted to fit you as an individual.
