About Megan
I’m a calm, practical tutor specializing in forensic science, criminal investigation, human biology and IT. I break complex theory into clear, step-by-step lessons, use real-world case studies and worked examples, and give concise written summaries after every session so students can revise with confidence. I use a structured, student‑centred approach that turns complex theory into clear, usable skills. Lessons begin with a short diagnostic to identify gaps, then follow a predictable cycle: explain → demonstrate → practice → feedback.
I offer flexible lesson lengths to suit goals and attention span: 45 minutes, 60 minutes, or 90 minutes. A typical 60‑minute lesson follows this structure:
0–10 minutes: quick diagnostic and review of previous work.
10–30 minutes: focused teaching of one core concept with worked examples.
30–50 minutes: guided practice and problem solving with real‑time feedback.
50–60 minutes: summary, set clear homework, and note one measurable goal for the next session.
Lessons can be adapted to shorter intensive sessions for exam prep or longer project sessions for coursework and lab report support.
I hold a Bachelor of Laws and have partially completed a Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security). I have supported students in primary and high school with coursework and practical projects. My background includes hands-on experience with coding using Python and I have delivered one-to-one, small and large group tutoring sessions.
