About Fuchsia
I started writing when I was a child. I loved using my imagination to write adventure stories or make up songs to sing to the birds and the squirrels. Writing poetry and lyrics, and playing the piano and singing, anchored me through adolescence by providing healing outlets. I excelled in creative writing in high school and college, and I began conceiving of a magical realism memoir series in my late 20s. I wrote the first book in my early 30s, then I began ghostwriting and editing a year later. Fast forward a decade––I'm now writing multiple books under my own name and helping clients develop their own creative works.
Writing is more than something I do––it's who I am. Etching wisdom and sentiment into stone is as ancient as humanity itself, and I am endlessly captivated by what has been left before us. Writing is deeply interwoven with my spirituality and always will be.
Currently located in Portland, Oregon, I love the rain, art, music, film, reading, nature, cooking, painting, singing, playing the piano, and more than anything––my two darling cats, The Monkey Man and Moon. Yoga, meditation, journaling, holistic medicine, and creativity––are all key ingredients for living a purpose-filled life.
I am happiest when I have spare time to contemplate the mysteries of existence and explore the unseen and mystical. The intuitive insights I'm gathering will be the foundation for a five-book+ non-fiction series on the cycles of time and ultimate reality, which will also include an oracle deck. The pre-book for this series (about the moon) is currently underway.
I love thinking outside the box and being able to use my imagination in my work on a daily basis. I am fascinated by ancient history, astronomy, physics, philosophy, neurobiology, consciousness, and metaphysics. I'm a huge fan of the Hero's Journey, Existentialism, Transcendentalism, Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Pantheism, Wicca, Shamanism, Bushido, and so much more! I received my bachelor's degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Creative Writing and Philosophy in 2010, and I am nearly finished with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (mid-2026).
I am constantly mesmerized by the power of spirit, mind, and feelings, thus my modus operandi is to seek out truth, transformation, and beauty in all that I do. I look forward to bringing sparks of creativity and passion to your life legacy too!

In this course we will use an organic, free-flow approach, and learn appropriate grammar, spelling, and poetic prose along the way. The key here is freedom and opening the imagination in order to not just understand the written word, but utilize the power writing has to heal as well.
This is a course for anyone who wants to further develop their creativity! We will use meditative and imaginative techniques and tools too. I am fun, insightful, and love digging into thoughts and ideas we wouldn't tap into without creativity.
Typically you will.be given a topic to free-write on, then we'll discuss and add to it in order to advance your understanding of voice and language. We will also do assignment writing by first developing outlines. We will explore both fiction and creative non-fiction writing.
