About Sebastian

Sebastian Allistaire Ravenwood is a forty-year-old practicing Pagan born and raised in the Crescent City. New Orleans has been a nexus for those who believe in magic and creatures lurking in the dark for centuries. Sebastian wishes to accurately portray the supernatural and occult formed through underground fringe societies of New Orleans. He also hopes to give back to the writing community by assisting fellow young authors in creative management, editing, publication, marketing, and teaching. Mr. Ravenwood is the founder and CEO of Transcending Reality Media. This multi-media company deals with writing and producing graphic novels, video games, movie/TV scripts, short stories, poetry, and fiction novels. In his personal and professional life, Sebastian excelled in his education, on-the-job training, management, and teaching of others. He has done this with the hopes that one day, he could not only share what he has learned through his stories but also through teaching the next generation of storytellers. He holds several college degrees: a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University, an MA in Creative Writing with a Concentration in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University, a BS in Computer Science from Trident University, and is currently working on his MFA in Creative Writing with a Concentration in Teaching. Sebastian has won many small contests throughout his thirty-four years as a writer and received several awards, primarily during high school and college. He is working on the first novel in his – Boudreaux and Thibodeaux Chronicles series, "Shadow Games.” Our two detectives track down a shadow demon on a murder spree through future New Orleans.

About the lesson

my lessons will provide genre specifics, short story writing, novel writing, script writing, game scripts, graphic novel scripts, plot, character development, the hero's journey, story bible, storyboarding, publishing, query writing, agents, marketing, traditional publishing, self-publishing, grammar, and peer critiques.

I hold several degrees in creative writing:
BFA in CreativeWriting for Entertainment from Full Sail University
MA in Creative Writing w/Concentration in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University
I am completing an MFA in Creative Writing w/Concentration in Teaching from Southern New Hampshire University.
