About Kayla

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m a college student pursuing a career in medicine with a passion for writing, communication, and helping others learn.

Outside of academics, I enjoy creative writing, poetry, and finding meaningful ways to express ideas through words. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when given the right support, patience, and encouragement.

As a tutor, I strive to create a welcoming, positive, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace.

I'm patient, understanding, and committed to helping students build confidence in their abilities. My goal is not only to help students improve their English skills but also to encourage a genuine love for learning that extends beyond the classroom!

About the lesson

I believe learning English should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. As a college student passionate about creative writing, poetry, and communication, I bring creativity, patience, and encouragement into every lesson.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence while strengthening reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. Each lesson begins with a brief check-in, followed by guided instruction, interactive exercises, and opportunities to practice.

I adapt my teaching methods to each student's learning style and pace, creating a comfortable environment where questions and mistakes are part of the learning process.

My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who need academic support or want to become more confident readers, writers, and communicators. My goal is not just to help students improve academically, but to help them develop skills they can confidently use beyond the classroom.

Kayla makes learning feel less intimidating and takes the time to explain things in a way that's easy to understand. What I appreciate most is how patient she is. She never makes you feel bad for not understanding something right away, and she genuinely wants to see you improve. She's easy to communicate with, supportive, and really good at helping you feel more confident in yourself. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who makes learning both comfortable and enjoyable.
